As attractive U.S. real estate buying opportunities begin to present themselves, it is up to us as buyers to be a Godsend to sellers, particularly those sellers who are losing their homes.
They need our compassion and our support and but for the grace of God, go any one of us. Life is short and at its end, all assets are surrendered, including the profits one makes in real estate deals. What isn't surrendered is the kindness we showed to other spiritual beings, which is what all of us are, even though for now we are in body.
Someone else's misfortune is an opportunity to be the living expression of God's kindness. I say this to you as a 36 year real estate investor, who understands the appeal of greed and also as one who will not do a transaction in which I can't offer a helping hand. I will be determined to treat the seller as I would wish to be treated, with dignity and respect and with a sense of fair play. If you and I will do that, we will make ourselves proud and our families proud of us, as we make the world a little nicer place.
