No red meat is good for you, according to a just published Harvard School of Public Health 20 year study of more than 110,000 people. http://www.latimes.com/health/la-he-red-meat-20120313,0,565423.story
Previous studies have linked red meat with cancer, diabetes and heart disease, but as small amount as regularly eating a Quarter Pounder could shorten your life.
But speaking to you as a vegetarian, may I suggest you consider Meatless Mondays as UC San Francisco researcher and vegetarian diet advocate Dr. Dean Orrish proposed in this article. Or make tonight meatless by having something else you enjoy. But whatever you decide, I'm sure you already know fats, cholesterol and meat industry hormones are not good for you and your family, and they want you around for a very long and healthy life.
