Many people confuse work with home, believing that becoming a workaholic can make them a hero. Don't be one of them. The place where you are a hero is:
At home with your family. At home is where you are most likely to be a hero by loving your family and giving them the attention they deserve.
The people at work can also become your extended family, and are entitled to your devotion as well. But there is a balance to everything in life, and your first responsibility is to those who love you because you are you.
