Why You Are Paying More At The Store

You are also paying more at the gas pump. The reason is reckless spending by the U.S. government. It's killing the value of the dollar.

Prices will fluctuate but the long term trend is clear. According to the U.S. Dept. of Labor, in the last year, import prices rose 11.1%. And most of what America uses comes from overseas.

But an even bigger reason is the U.S. Fed is pumping yet another $600 billion of money into the U.S. economy, money printed out of thin air to stimulate the economy. This creates more money chasing after the same goods thus bidding up their price. So you pay more for bread and milk, meat and eggs and cereal and fruits and vegetables and practically everything else at the store.

This situation is getting worse and to reverse it starts with the dollar receiving the support it desperately needs from its government. This means slashing the massive U.S. government deficit by hundreds of billions of dollars now, whether by cutting expenses or raising taxes. And the U.S. Fed must raise interest rates and end its stimulus programs.

But politicians are loath to take these actions because they will bring hardship to most of working class America. But the longer they postpone acting, the worse the problems grow. And as the U.S. dollar falls, if you are an American, so does the value of your savings, while at the same time, most of what you buy costs more.

My intent is not to scare you but to inform you so you as an American can make intelligent decisions based on reality, not a pipe dream of believing the government can borrow, print and spend its way out of this mess. And if you are not American, you can understand why your nation will be shipping fewer goods to the U.S. Americans simply won't be able to afford them.
