Your Most Creative Moments

Dear Reader, perhaps for you and I know for me, my best, most creative work comes from silence. Not necessarily from silence around me, for I can find silence in New York, Shanghai, Vancouver or Las Vegas despite all the noise, for the real silence comes from within.

Most of us get caught up in our fears and anxieties and our compulsions and obsessions. But if we calm the clammer, the sound of silence awaits us, as our minds and bodies relax. And within that silence lies the voice of creativity and the voice of spirituality, that can speak to us as we listen.

You may want to try something I do that has been very effective. Each day for 10 minutes, I lay down and close my eyes. I relax, releasing my muscle tension, which at times can be as tight as a clenched fist. I deep breath, inhaling deeply through my nose and exhaling through my mouth. When the 10 minutes are up, I am refreshed and feel so much better than 10 minutes earlier. And new ideas begin to come. Try this approach and see if it doesn't work wonders for you. What risk will you take? None. What have you got to gain? A happier, healthier mind and many more moments of creativity.
