If you would like to attain greatness, and to make a real difference in this world, it is simple: Help other people to discover what makes them special and then encourage them to pursue it.
Because of your insight and influence, person after person will achieve so much more than they otherwise would have and through their success, you will be uplifting the world.
But this is a task most people shun because it offers no personal glorification, no fame and no monetary fortune. However, those are just desires of the ego and not the unselfish expression of love that sincerely helping others really is.
The great person grows far beyond the demands of the ego and follows the guidance of his or her Higher Being, receiving personal satisfaction from the success of others, as part of the discovery of a higher awareness and life's greater meaning, for we are all spirits in search of growth.
