The Illusion That Joy And Sorrow Are Separate

We all seek joy while trying to avoid sorrow. But to have one without the other is an illusion, for one brings the other.

In seeking joy, we open our hearts, and when we eventually lose the loved ones who brought us such joy, we bear the sorrow. Without the sorrow inherent in the joy, we would have had neither.

Therefore we must embrace both, for our lives would lose their meaning without both sides of this golden coin.
