Our Destiny In Life

Sometimes we lose track of what really matters, caught up in whether our life's purpose brings us widespread attention. But that is but a consideration of the ego and not the soul.

At the recent Academy Awards, actor John Travolta mispronounced someone's name and that mistake went viral on the Internet and in the media, as vast numbers of people responded to it, yet its value is meaningless. A waste of precious time.

But our life's purpose, whether as spouses, parents, or grandparents or in our work touches the lives of others in a profound way, and brings with it our spiritual growth.

Did we love, did we listen, did we forgive, did we offer a helping hand? Were we compassionate, were we truthful, were we a blessing in the lives of others?

These are the considerations that really matter as we assess our journey on life's path.
