Our Imaginary Troubles

Oh do we worry. What if this or what if that, and of course the news presents a constant stream of fear, because fear attracts numerous viewers, listeners and readers. Yet nearly all of what we worry about never happens.

Insurance companies make a fortune selling us coverage against the what ifs and the rest of our fears and they rarely have to payoff, because those events almost never occur.

Instead, relax and enjoy your life. You can deal with troubles if they arise but in the meantime, love more, laugh more and explore more. That is what life is about.

Dick

This piece was in part inspired by renowned author, speaker, professor Leo Buscaglia (1924 - 1998) who in a YouTube video told the story of an 85 year old dying man who if he could live his life again would among other differences not worry so much about imaginary troubles.
