Confusing Glamor With Beauty

Beauty is recognizing the magnifince of the soul and our oneness with all living beings and with all creation.
It is in being captivated by unconditional love and in fulfilling our purpose in this life, including the nobility of offering a helping hand sometimes in the ugliest of circumstances.

Glamor is beauty in a superficial sense. It is the acceptance of youthful appearance, fashion, fame and sexuality as if it we're anything more than the fleeting mirage of the meaningless.

Those who confuse glamor with beauty will know the emptiness of superficiality while the wise will allow beauty to captivate their souls and elevate their hearts.

Thank you to the brilliant insight of writer Charles Tom Brown, whose "The Search for Beauty" (3/1/15) helped to inspire this piece.
